Why you'll love this trip
  • This short but sweet adventure is packed full of experiences that will give you great insight into Cambodia and the contrasts between three of the region's most fascinating countries.
  • Watch the sun rising over Angkor Wat as it did over 800 years ago with your leader. Wander through the amazing ancient temples on a guided tour and with a three-day Angkor pass to cover your whole time in Siem Reap, you can explore this incredible temple complex as much and as often as you like.
  • Discover the countryside around Battambang on a bike ride around rural farms to meet with local producers, through an Intrepid partner and social enterprise that supports the local communities and provides training opportunities.
  • Experience life on water on a boat tour visiting the floating villages on Tonle Sap Lake and understand the deep bond between the lake and the local communities.
  • Join in a confronting yet important tour in Phnom Penh to The Killing Fields of Choeung Ek and Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and reflect on its devastating impact on the modern Cambodia.
  • By travelling on this trip, you’ll directly support our Intrepid Foundation partner, CRST. Donations help them break the cycle of poverty in Cambodia by inspiring and empowering children with education opportunities.

Is this trip right for you?
  • If you’d like to spend more time in South East Asia, have a look at the combos that include this trip’s itinerary: Best of Vietnam & Cambodia (TVSKC), South East Asia Loop (TTSVC) and Vietnam & Cambodia Adventure (TVSLC).
  • There are some long travel days on private and public transport on this trip (up to 10 hours on the road), including the days that you cross from Vietnam to Cambodia and Cambodia to Thailand. It’s all part of the adventure and a great way to get to know your fellow travellers. Please read the itinerary carefully for travel time estimates.
  • Some travellers enjoy Siem Reap so much that they decide they want to stay extra days rather than continue with the group to Bangkok. You are welcome to sign off the trip to enjoy more of Cambodia, however we’re unable to reimburse any unused services or provide alternate onward travel arrangements.

As our first organised tour we felt Safe well informed, our guides knowledge of Cambodia and its history was next level.

Fabulous trip, very well organized. Our English speaking guide Toneth was excellent. He was friendly and knowledgeable and happy to share his own life experiences of growing up in Cambodia. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to understand more about the Cambodian conflicts of the past.

Cambodia is a country I knew little about other than Angkor Wat. I now have a much greater appreciation of the people and the land. I loved every minute of my short stay. Highly recommend this adventure

They definitely saved the best for last in my opinion on this Cambodia trip. Phnom Penh was all about learning and immersing yourself in the city, Battambang was a lovely escape into the country, but Siem Reap was truly magical. The people, the places, the temples! The trip is quite fast paced with lots of early mornings but boy is it worth it. You'll leave feeling like Cambodia stole a piece of your heartheart and not being able to wait to book a return trip!
