Port Augusta Tours & Holidays

A warm welcome awaits you in Port Augusta

Port Augusta is the perfect jumping-off point for seeing the sights in this part of South Australia - think Port Lincoln, Wudinna and the spectacular Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park. While many may see it as little more than a place to stop for fuel and a break on their way to Western Australia or the Northern Territory, it's an impressive destination in its own right. Visit the Australian Arid Lands Botanic Garden on a guided tour, learn about the research and conservation of Australia's arid zone flora, or stroll through the Wadlata Outback Centre for a retrospective look at Australia's past. However you spend your time here, one thing's for sure, you'll want to come back.

We saw all the things we wanted to see, and many remote places. Our tour leader Leonie was fantastic and we were warmly welcomed everywhere we went. Wonderful to be introduced to first nations people and to hear them explain their country and traditions. The best part was visiting Arkaroola.

I thoroughly enjoyed this trip and found it comprehensive in its coverage of a little known area of my own country. Good group and excellent leader. Abundant wildlife. Good food. Unique experiences.

Eyre Peninsula Adventure

This trip has it all. Scenery such as the rugged coastline of the Great Australian Bight or the rocky outcrops of the Gawler Ranges. The beauty of the wildflowers in spring. The wildlife such as the whales, porpoises, sea lions and fur seals along the coast. Stunning bird life such as Major Mitchell Cockatoos and Port Lincoln Parrots, plus emus in abundance. Plus, iconic marsupials such as gray kangaroos, euros, and Wombats. Then, to round it off there was the fresh seafood on the Southern Eyre Peninsula. Coffin Bay oysters! Yum!
