During 15 years as a freelance travel journalist, Richard Mellor has written for everyone from The Times and Conde Nast Traveller to MTV and Vice. He swapped a fledgling PR career for the chance to seek out silence in Northumberland, visit a country that doesn't exist inside Moldova (with Intrepid) and get shoulder-charged by a chimpanzee in Uganda. His particular passions are wildlife, hiking, overtourism solutions and the wellness world, far away from spas.
