Tipping Info

If you are happy with the services provided by your local guides a tip - though not compulsory - is appropriate. While it may not be customary to you, it is of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many Intrepid Urban Adventures destinations. Please consider this when budgeting for your extra expenses on this tour.

Itinerary

Experience Sydney from a different perspective. Explore all the city icons, like The Rocks, Sydney Harbour Bridge, and the Sydney Opera House, but explore them in a way most tourists don’t. We’ll take the least-walked path through Sydney and meander through this fascinating city’s tumultuous history and into the modern day.
"The Tank Stream" originally provided fresh water and all kinds of food for the Aboriginal People, the Cardigal, prior to British colonisation. When the British arrived, they saw the importance of the stream and took it for their own. Australia as we know it effectively developed along this water supply. The Tank Stream is now represented by a blue line painted on the ground that meanders through the city.
This Sydney walking tour makes its way along the blue line, through to Hyde Park, retracing the steps that saw a small stream become the life source for a new country. We’ll hit up the major sights, including the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Angel Place, Parliament House, the Mint, and the Barracks, but in a way you wouldn’t experience on your own. This Sydney tour is a “warts and all” account of the birth of modern Australia and the legacies left from decisions made and the people who made them: those who won, those who lost, and everyone in between.
Experience Sydney from our local perspective, by checking out the major sights and learning the city’s history without feeling like a tourist. This Sydney tour is factual, funny, irreverent, and anecdotal – a great local experience!
