Victoria Falls is a town on the Zimbabwean side of the falls, with spectacular views and a reputation as the adventure capital of Zimbabwe.
The Victoria Falls are an enormous curtain of water, about a mile wide, plunging 108m at a rate of more than 12,000 cubic metres per second at its heaviest flow. In the wet season, the spray can rise up an incredible 400 m and the falls are an impressive raging torrent. It's no wonder that the local name Mosi oa Tunya means the 'smoke that thunders'.
Witness animals galore in the captivating surrounds of Chobe National Park. Watch the sun set on a relaxing afternoon cruise, keeping an eye out for elephants and crocs on water’s edge.
Visit one the the largest salt flats in the world - the Makgadikgadi Pans.
Head to Maun this morning and perhaps opt for a flight over this amazing area.
Get ready to be wowed in the incredible environs of the Okavango Delta. By day, travel in a traditional mokoro (dugout canoe) for the perfect way to encounter animals of all sizes – elephants, hippos, antelope and birds of every persuasion make their home here. And at night, fall to sleep on a houseboat, listening for the sounds of animals making their way through this incredible tangle of waterways in the dark.
Interact with the San Bushmen through traditional dancing and story telling around the camp fire.
Travel to Namibia and visit Windhoek. Use free time to enjoy this attractive German-style capital set against a backdrop of majestic mountains.
The numerous waterholes and sparse vegetation of Etosha National Park makes spotting Africa’s unique wildlife easy.
Encounter Damaraland’s incredible scenery, which is made up of mountains, ancient rock paintings, welwitchia plants and petrified forests.
Head to the Germanic achitecture and influences of Swakopmund, where scores of adventure activities, long stretches of beach and modern restaurants contrast nicely with the expansiveness of the surrounding desert.
Journey into the red sands and dramatic landscapes of the Namib Desert. Meaning ‘dead end marsh’, Sossuvlei is the ultimate place to experience the stillness and solitude of desert life. Encounter ancient lakebeds and the atmospheric Dead Vlei, where skeletal Camelthorn Trees stand out darkly against the desert’s red hues.
Make tracks to Fish River Canyon, one of the largest - and most breathtaking - canyons in the world, especially at sunset.
Spend time exploring the banks and rugged scenery of Orange River.
Enjoy the clean salty air, white-sand beaches and fresh lobsters of Lamberts Bay, one of westcoast South Africa’s most popular seaside destinations.
Welcome to beguiling Cape Town, a city fillled with gorgeous scenery and world-class cafés, galleries, restaurants, shops and beaches.
