Day 1 Playa del Carmen
Kick start this epic Central America tour in Mexico's beachside wonderland. Maybe go from Playa del Carmen to Cancun in search of some action.

The Costa Rican adventure continues in La Fortuna. Waterfalls, walks and hot springs are a fine way to spend daylight hours but a night visit to mighty Arenal Volcano must be seen to be believed.

Walk through Costa Rica's busy capital, San Jose. Why not dance the night away with the Ticos (Costa Rican natives) at a calypso club?

Catch a local bus to exotic Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. Join an optional visit to Cahuita National Park, which abounds with weird and wonderful wildlife from sloths and snakes to kingfishers and howler monkeys, or grab a board and do some surfing.
