It’s not far from the capital, but seaside Negombo likes to do things in a different style. Settle into its laidback ways as you sit back on the beach and watch the local fishing craft with some fresh seafood to feast on. Then set off on a tour from Negombo and discover more of the beautiful island of Sri Lanka, whether it’s rock fortresses in Sigiriya, memorable train rides through tea plantations to spiritual Kandy, uncovering history in recently off-limits Jaffna, or discovering the natural world in a country that overflows with plants and wildlife.

This was a really excellent tour for a quick overview of Sri Lanka. The itinerary was well developed and the accommodations very comfortable. Our guide Lochana was wonderful and did a fantastic job of sharing her passion for the country.

Sri Lanka: Hike, Bike & Kayak

Kylie · Traveled March 2024
Highly recommend for those who love an action packed holiday. Camping and hiking in the glorious Knuckles mountain ranges is amazing and cycling through tea plantations and small villages was a great way to see sights that you wouldn't see otherwise.
