Visit Victoria Falls on this short break adventure
Take a short break to the biggest waterfall in the world by height and length; the stunning Victoria Falls (also known as Mosi-Oa-Tunya, or ‘The Smoke that Thunders’). Soak up the spray and check out some of the adventure activities in the local area, including abseiling and zip-lining, walks, canoe trips and rafting. Spend your days here doing as much or as little as you want on this short break adventure trip.
Witness the thundering power of the waters cascading over Victoria Falls with a local guide
Enjoy spectacular views of the falls and surrounding area from the ‘Knife-edge Bridge’
Pick and choose from an abundance of activities in the area
This is one of our Short Breaks and is slightly different to our group tours. There is no group leader but rather a local guide with the idea being that you maintain a level of independence during down time. You'll most likely travel on a join-in basis, which means you may or may not be joined by others for activities and transportation, depending on demand.
Regardless of where you stay, power cuts and breaks in hot water are sometimes unavoidable, as in any developing country. In particular, South Africa suffers from load-shedding: rolling blackouts that are engineered specifically to share out available power in the region.
Trip departures are unavailable.
There are currently no scheduled departures on our Vic Falls Short Break trip. If you are interested in other trips in the region visit one of the links below.
1.Return airport transfers are included. Please ensure you provide flight details to your bookings consultant and ensure you have a voucher for each transfer. You will receive important information about the included and optional activities during this arrival transfer. If no transfers are required please advise your sales consultant.
2.Our operator has advised that customers with the J&J vaccine and no booster may have difficulty crossing the border into Botswana (and potentially Zimbabwe) without a negative test result. This information conflicts with various government travel advice websites. We recommend you check with your local consulate before travel to ensure you have the most up to date information.
