Explore the stunning Jurassic Coast
Stretching 95 miles (153 km) from Exmouth to Swanage, and littered with rugged cliffs, soul-stirring rock formations and beautiful beaches, the Jurassic Coast is nothing short of magical. One of the best ways to experience it in its full glory is with a pair of hiking boots. Feel the salty air on your skin, listen to the sea crashing against the rocks, and if you're lucky, maybe even find a fossil or two on the beach.
Visit the unique Isle of Portland
Although the Isle of Portland is next door in Dorset, it's well worth the detour if you're exploring the Jurassic Coast. It boasts gorgeous coves, beaches and coastal walking paths, and there's lots of history to uncover in eerie pirate graveyards and old smuggler hotspots. Not to mention Portland Castle – one of Henry VII’s finest coastal forts. Portland is also great for kayaking, rock climbing or stand-up paddleboarding.
Swim in Sharrah Pool
Tucked away in Dartmoor National Park, Sharrah Pool is a woodland oasis. After winding along a path through dense forest, you'll hear the tranquil sound of the River Dart and smell the fresh scent of forest fern as you reach this natural swimming pool. The water is cold all year round, but we promise the skin-tingling sensation will be worth it – in fact, you might not want to get out!
Explore Dartmoor National Park
Dartmoor National Park showcases Devon's rugged beauty with wild moorlands, lush river valleys, and fairytale-like forests. Explore the tors (large free-standing rock formations), marvel at ancient stone circles, or kayak through the park along the River Dart. After your active adventure, enjoy a traditional Devonshire cream tea at one of Dartmoor's quaint village teahouses.

Highlights of South-West England

We would not recommend this trip. Too many corners were cut to save money. Our itinerary was changed to include a less desirable stop. Train home was also changed and it stopped at every station back to London. Most hotels were just OK. Difficulty of tour was supposed to be a 2 which it was more like a 4. Tour guide was not from England. We did not stay at the hotel with the group our last night. One night there was enough.

After travelling around Southwest England, I would highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in exploring Devon and Cornwall. Beautiful coastal walks and views that combine with a touch of culture and history. A definite must if you would love to try clotted cream and scones, Cornish cider, high tea or a traditional Cornish pasty.
I loved the walk from Minack Theatre to Land's End. We were spoilt with seal spotting, the beauty of the landscape and being surrounded by a range of wild flowers and plants.

Want a small group getaway that requires little organisation on your part? Is led by competent, friendly and knowledgeable locals? Won't break the bank? Introduces you to like-minded friendly folk? Is kind to the environment? Leaves you wanting more of the same? Intrepid is the answer.
