This was my fourth intrepid tour and I am currently in my way to Kenya for my 5th intrepid tour ( starting tomorrow). My previous trips have been amazing and I have also spoken very highly of intrepid. This is why I'm so sorry to say this. If this had been my first intrepid tour, I don't think I would have ever traveled with you again. Accommodation was mostly terrible. The itinerary itself was very very poor. And the tour guide, while he was extremely clever and knowledgable, I don't think he was " tour guide" material. He was so intelligent and knowledgable. He really knew his history. However, I don't believe that he is at the same standard as other intrepid tour guides that we had. He wasn't very sociable( however this may be a cultural thing). It sometimes felt like he was a teacher instead of a tour guide. He didn't really help the group bond( I think this is very important for tours). Some days, he wasn't very approachable. He did seem to relax more on the last 2 days , but at that stage I think people had given up and there just seemed to be a strange vibe to the group. Again though, this may be a cultural thing. He was a very nice man overall. When we complained about our dirty sheets, he was very good and sorted immediately.

Usama Awad, the tour leader, made this trip excellent for all of us. We got to see all of the best bits of Jordan and he gave us lots of extra information as well. The group was fun and everything was perfect! Usama was the best tour leader ever - engaged, funny, great to be around, approachable, full of knowledge and a great asset to Intrepid and Jordan.
