Cycle Siena & Chianti Itinerary

Depart on an ancient pilgrimage route. Pass through Pienza, a town rich in history and culture, on the way to the wine centre of Montepulciano and its famous Vino Nobile. Cycle to the medieval town of Monticchiello and finally enjoy a dip in thermal springs of Bagno Vignoni.

Ride down quiet roads and through some of Tuscany's most beautiful scenery. Watch green fields and quaint towns pass by as the trip heads through slight inclines on the way to the classic gothic architecture of Siena. Be sure to clap eyes on the Duomo and the intricate and detailed main square.

Pass by small hamlets, spectacular vineyards and impressive castles, including the Castello di Brolio on the way to Chianti. Ride towards the distant towers of San Gimignano, one of the major attractions in Tuscany. Take in the vibrant atmosphere and walk the town walls.

Hit the back roads and have lunch near the market square of Greve. Finally, make the journey along a panoramic road to Florence, a city famous for the artworks of Medicis, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael Brunelleschi, Machiavelli, Donatello and Michelangelo alike.
