Day 1 Quito
Arrive in Quito, a city steeped in history and brimming with fascinating colonial architecture. Perched at an altitude of 2,850 m under the watchful eye of the Pichincha Volcano, Quito stretches along a valley formed by the east and west ranges of the Andes, and is one of the most stunning cities in South America. Perhaps wander the cobbled streets, hang out in one of the many cafes or get to know the history of this city in one of the many fine museums.
