A leader's perspective...
For me, sharing experiences in France with a small Intrepid group is like showing a bunch of friends around. I love taking them to the local market and getting all the ingredients that will make a delicious picnic lunch, or to a small bistro where they can feel at home. Interaction with the French is always a must for travellers. You’ll see how a 'bonjour' and a smile can make your day! Bordered by many European countries, France has many landscapes to offer: rolling hills, endless beaches, wild coastlines, snowy mountains, dense forests, and vineyards as far as you can see. Whether strolling the streets of cosmopolitan Paris, touring the vineyards of Burgundy or enjoying the sunny Provence and Riviera, France has something for everyone!

Pet Mania in Paris
You see them everywhere, little pampered pooches. You see them in restaurants, in handbags, on trains, you might even step in their path if you know what I mean. But where are all these cute canines sold? I know where and make sure I show my groups the glamorous pet shops of Paris. Inside are all kinds of designer puppies, diamante studded collars, porcelain dog bowls, doggie designed step ladders for the pocket sized pets to climb up on beds and sofas and the best of all, walls of outfits for every occasion including a Tour de France yellow jersey.
Skating in Paris
I found this fantastic outdoor ice-rink in Paris during the winter. It had very few people on it that night, which made it even more of a find. No-one seemed in the slightest bit bothered to see me falling over all the time. Eventually I got to grips with the thing and made a few laps round before my legs were telling me it was time for a long lie down. It was a fabulous experience, thoroughly enjoyable to cruise around under the spotlight of the outdoor rink. I sat and watched for the rest of my night, handing back my hired skates and having a well-deserved coffee. I was really entertained to see some of the fantastic skaters that came on after me, they must have been waiting till I left!
