Touch down in the City of Angels. Find your favourite star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, go window shopping along Rodeo Drive or check out a show at the prestigious Magic Castle.
Head south to sunny San Diego. Stroll around Balboa Park and visit the famous San Diego Zoo, ride the rollercoaster at Belmont Park or explore the historic Old Town.
Travel inland towards the Mojave Desert and walk among the enormous boulders and craggy rocks throughout the national park.
This is it. The big ticket, the show stopper - the mighty Grand Canyon. Travel to the rim of the canyon and peer down to the valley floor, perhaps embarking on a hike among the canyon walls. With eagles soaring overhead and the giant chasm extending infinitely toward the horizon, this is an American experience not to be missed.
Stroll along the famous Strip, try your luck with the ‘one-armed bandits' or head downtown and visit an Elvis-themed wedding chapel. Despite the flashing lights and stretch Hummers, Vegas is making a name for itself as one of America’s new food destinations so you’re sure to be just as happy if you’re after top-notch cuisine or an all-you-can-eat diner.
Stunning sandstone cliffs, cascading waterfalls, hanging gardens and tranquil hidden pools welcome you. Lace up your hiking boots and explore this spectacular geological wonder.
Hike among hoodoos – amazing spindly rock spires – and trek along trails as we head deeper into central Utah’s rugged landscape. Bryce Canyon has been described as ‘out of this world’, and it’s easy to see why.
Just outside the town of Moab, enter the red, arid desert of Canyonlands and Arches national parks. Dotted with rocky fins, pinnacles spires and precarious balancing rocks, hike across the landscape to see the famous Delicate Arch.
The site of countless westerns (not to mention alien space flicks), Monument Valley is home to the largest Indian reservation in America. It’s basically impossible to take a bad picture here, due to the ever-changing angle of the sun against the landscape.
Surrounded by towering cliffs of red rock, Lake Powell’s waterways are perfect for swimming and boating. Explore hidden coves, hike along trails, or just relax on the lake’s sunny shores.
Return to Vegas to celebrate the end of your journey. Perhaps have one more crack at the craps table or cruise along 'The Strip' in a stretch limo.
