A leader's perspective...

A few years ago, on a whim, I decided to take a small bus ride out of Croatia to Montenegro. I had no idea of the beauty and surprises that were in store for me. As I caught my first glimpse of limestone mountains steeped in mist and rushing to meet the Mediterranean, my senses were bewitched. I explored forgotten whitewashed villages, was inspired by the Byzantine monasteries and surprised by Ottoman monuments. Just when I thought Montenegro couldn't be more perfect I would round a corner and see a completely different vista waiting. In a country that has borne witness to much of Europe's turbulent past, a new and exciting future awaits. Now is the time to explore Montenegro, as it steps into the limelight and begins to shine.
