A final slice of local advice

  1. The Free Tram Zone in the City Centre is a great way to get around. You can get on any tram without a ticket or myki within this zone.

  2. Melbourne is a city of villages, so you’ll need a myki card to explore the different areas, outside the free tram zone, either by tram or train.

  3. Once you’ve mastered the flat white, why not try something new! The local coffee order is a magic – a double ristretto with three quarters of milk. The perfect blend between robust coffee flavour and rich milkyness.

  4. Check out @stickycarpets on Instagram for a weekly gig guide across Melbourne’s music scene

  5. Many of Melbourne’s major art galleries and museums have free entry for general exhibits – always handy in a city with changeable weather.
