Itinerary

Head below ground to discover the wealth of secrets lying underneath the Russian capital on this exciting Moscow city tour that gives new meaning to going off the beaten path! Prepare to be amazed as you descend into the underground metro system, admiring its rich web of networks, which span every nook of the city, and where no expense was spared by the Soviet authorities who first built it. Some of the city’s most impressive artwork decorates the walls of the stations, and on this Moscow tour, we’ll show you the very best of what this part of town has to offer (which is a lot - trust us!).
After an hour spent whizzing around the tunnels discovering secret Moscow with all its history, art, and design, interspersed with engineering marvel, head above ground to the centre of the city. Step out of the underground and into a secret military bunker, a part of Moscow so hidden and unheard of that some of the locals don't even know about it! Built in the 1950s, this fascinating location was mainly used by the military for ministerial communication and security in the case of a nuclear bombing. This bunker is one of the best hidden gems in the city, and visited by very few tours in Moscow - we wouldn't dream of missing it out though!
Stroll through the tunnels, which are now used as a museum, where up to 600 people worked and lived until the end of the Cold War. Learn from your local guide about this period in Russian history, and listen to stories about the fear of nuclear warfare that gripped the country during this period. Leave the tunnels behind and finish your Moscow tour on a high note, by refuelling with hand-made Russian pies and buns or a shot of Russian vodka in a local café. As you do in Russia!
