Dress standard

Comfortable clothing, sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses are recommended. A light layer may be necessary as mornings can be cool October through June. We highly recommend bringing a bottle of water and wearing a hat, as sunny LA days can bring high heat.

Child policy

This is a child-friendly tour. Children between the ages of 6 and 11 inclusively are permitted on this tour. Children younger than 6 are permitted at no extra cost, but please make sure you inform our guides of this before you take the tour.

Tipping Info

If you are happy with the services provided by your local guides a tip - though not compulsory - is appropriate. While it may not be customary to you, it is of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many Intrepid Urban Adventures destinations. Please consider this when budgeting for your extra expenses on this tour.

Hidden Hollywood gets you off the tourist track and into the underground scene loved by locals. On this LA tour, you’ll spend your morning in Hollywood like a true local - drinking coffee, people watching, hiking a bit of Runyon Canyon, and inhaling a classic LA burger alongside the kids from Hollywood High. (Don’t worry vegetarians, they make an awesome grilled cheese!)
Go inside places some locals don’t even know about, like a historic members-only community garden preserving 100-year-old avocado trees (and a 100-year-old gardener too). Admire the Mediterranean, Victorian, and European architecture prevalent in Hollywood’s original estates, and walk partway up Runyon Canyon Park for an inspirational view over Los Angeles.
You’ll hear tales of ghosts and hauntings, celebrity hideaways, and the inside scoop on Hollywood’s past and present. Top it all off with lunch at a Los Angeles original burger joint where the food is super fresh and you can order off a secret menu!
