Itinerary

Welcome to Croatia. Your adventure begins today with a group meeting at 3 pm with your Skipper at Pizzeria, which is next to the ACI Marina reception. We'll be collecting insurance details and next of kin information at this meeting, so ensure you bring these details to provide to your leader.

The first port of call is the local supermarket to buy supplies for your trip as a group (we call this a ‘starter park’). The starter pack will include provisions for breakfast, lunch and/or snacks for the whole trip. If you have any special dietary requirements, please make sure you notify us at the time of booking so we can accommodate your requests.

If possible, we highly recommend arriving early into Dubrovnik. The undisputed jewel of the Dalmatian Coast, Dubrovnik is a beautiful white stone town surrounded entirely by city walls. Although it experienced devastation during the war in the early 1990s, the old town remains as charming as ever and is great to explore on foot. You can also take the cable car up to the hill behind the city for breathtaking views.

After the group meeting today, leave the mainland shores behind and set sail for the Elafiti Islands, where you'll spend your first night at sea.

***The beauty of sailing is that each day is unique and, while we have a destination to reach, if the weather changes or something takes the group’s fancy, we are flexible on the day's itinerary***
Elafiti Islands
The charming Elafiti Islands feature three main islands - Kolocep, Lopud and Sipan - which all have their own character. Kolocep is the greenest, Lopud features lovely small beaches and coves, and Sipan is rich in legend and myth. Pull up in a small bay to swim or snorkel, and perhaps disembark to explore the forested island landscapes.

Mljet
Set sail for the picturesque island of Mljet. Mljet is a haven of lush parkland, forests and small villages. Legend says that this island was home to the shipwrecked Odysseus for seven years. You might like to use your free time to explore the island’s karst valleys, extensive gorges, fortified Roman palaces and vast lakes on a guided tour through the national park. In the evening, perhaps try the local wine, which has been produced by Mljet's villagers for hundreds of years.

Korcula
Sail northwest across clear waters to Korcula, which takes around six hours. On the way, the boat will pass the defensive towers of Korcula Town via the Peljeski Channel. Korcula is full of Greek, Roman, Slavic and Venetian influences. Perhaps walk the streets of the romantic Old Town or relax on one of the island’s many beaches. Check out the nearby island of Lastovo, the largest island in the Lastovo archipelago.

Vis
Cruise for three hours to Vis, which is the furthest island from the mainland. Take an optional tour to learn about the island’s history, visiting nuclear fallout shelters, churches and vantage points with great views across the ocean. If the tide is low, visit the stunning blue grotto of Cave Bisevo.

Brac
Set sail for the white stone town of Brac, which usually takes about four hours. Take a leisurely cruise along the coast, soaking up the sunshine and scenery of the surrounding cliffs. Weigh anchor and go for a swim in the sea, with the opportunity to snorkel. Spot sea anemones, crabs, sea urchins and small fish in the waters. This evening, depending on the weather, the boat will either anchor on the coast of Bol or in a nearby cove.

Hvar
Voyage along the Neretvanski Kanal to the 'Queen of the Dalmatian Islands', Hvar. After about five hours of sailing the boat will moor in the port of Stari Grad. Relax on a beach or wander around exploring the island’s preserved Renaissance facades, limestone cliffs, farms, olive groves and fields of rosemary and lavender. There’s an option to cross the island by car to Hvar Town, often known as the ‘San Trope of Croatia’. The driver will drop you at the castle overlooking the town; from here you can hike down to explore the waterfront.

Split
Sail into the palm-lined harbour of Split, your final destination. In your free time, explore the impressive ruins of Split’s Diocletian's Palace. Diocletian was a Roman Emperor infamous for his cruel treatment of Christians in the 3rd century. Perhaps enjoy a final group dinner in the evening to reminisce on your sailing adventure.
After breakfast aboard the yacht, the trip ends around 10 am in the exuberant city of Split. There are no activities planned for today and you’re free to depart at any time. Please do not book a flight out of Split that leaves earlier than 3 pm today, in case our arrival is delayed due to weather conditions.

Note: The Itinerary above may be subject to change depending on weather or berth availability. Your skipper will make the final call to ensure your safety at all times.
