While a homestay in Zululand is a unique and rewarding experience, the conditions are basic – foam mattresses on the floor, with up to six people (of the same sex) per room. Clean linen and pillows are provided.
Purpose-built overland vehicles are used for the duration of the trip. These multi-purpose trucks, equipped with large sliding windows, allow for excellent game viewing. There is no air-conditioning, however, so it can get hot and dusty inside.
The going can be slow over the long distances and often bumpy roads. A little bit of patience will go a long way towards your enjoyment of this beautiful land!
This is a participatory camping trip, so embrace the team spirit. You will be expected to set up and take down your own tent as well as assist with food preparation and cleaning.

This was my first time doing any real travelling or this kind of tour. It was amazing. Gave me a great insight into so many fantastic places. Just enough to taste. Most of which I would love to return to. The guides were phenomenal and I think this is key wuth tours like this. Only advice us take a good camera and never stop asking questions. Thank you for an amazing experience.

The Kruger, Cape and Coast trip was absolutely fantastic and surpassed my expectations. The locations were so varied, with amazing campsites and really good facilities (even the basic ones weren't basic in my opinion). The landscapes changed every day and the bus/truck was really comfortable which took on some great adventures! Our guide and driver really looked after us and made the trip so fun. I made some really good friends in my fellow Intrepid travellers and we had giggles everyday along with lasting memories. I loved this trip!
