To get to your Okavango Delta campsite, you'll travel by mokoro, a dugout canoe, to pass over the shallow waterways. They're small but stable, and local tribesman will be there to guide you.
Purpose-built overland vehicles are used for the duration of this trip. These multi-purpose trucks, equipped with large sliding windows, allow for excellent game viewing. There is no air-conditioning, however, so it can get hot and dusty inside.
The going can be slow over these long distances, and the roads can be bumpy. A little bit of patience will go a long way towards your enjoyment of this beautiful land!
This is a participatory camping trip, so embrace the team spirit. You will be expected to set up and take down your own tent as well as assist with food preparation and cleaning.
As the early bird catches the worm, the early camper sights the animals. There will be many early starts either to make use of the better safari time or to beat the morning traffic on long travel days.
Some passengers on this trip will have been travelling together prior to the start of your trip. To see what you're missing out on check out our Zanzibar to Cape Town trip.

Intrepid never fail to deliver on every trip we have been on and this one was no exception. The crew were great, the places we went were fantastic and I can't wait for the next one. Thanks again/

A long trip covering many miles, but an excellent way to see much of Africa, especially more remote places that may otherwise be difficult to travel to as a solo traveller. Highlights were the amazing wildlife, Victoria Falls, the dunes of Namibia, Cape Town and the African people.
