It’s important to prepare for hot temperatures during the day and cooler climates in the evening, particularly in the desert. Layers are the one of the best ways to tackle this disparity in weather. Water, hats and comfortable shoes for lots of walking around sites like Petra are recommended. Also pack some warmer clothes for the winter season.

We adored our trip to Jordan! The itinerary covered all the most famous sights as well as including less common experiences, such as a night stargazing in the desert at a Bedouin camp. Although there was quite a bit of walking, it was never overly tiring and time to relax was always available. The tour guide was fantastic, full of knowledge about the sights but also about the cultures and events in the middle east, and always ready to share in a way that provided insight into a perspective on the area very different from that found in western media. The accommodation was great and the range of activities suited everyone. Highly recommend

Jordan is one of the safest, friendliest places I have ever visited. There is a fantastic amount and variety of things to see and do. The food is fresh, delicious and healthy. And the people are wonderful!
