Hunt for legendary Komodo dragons, snorkel through colourful coral reefs, and walk across beaches of black, pink and white sands. Full of energy, charisma and plenty of shimmering sunlight, Indonesia’s “flower island” will leave with memories you’ll carry for a lifetime.

There are some long travel days of driving by private transport (as there are no suitable public transport options available). Some of the roads can be quite bumpy as local infrastructure development is limited. We will make stops to break up the trip and it is a good idea to read or listen to music along the way.
Accommodation in general in Flores is more basic than you would experience in Bali as tourism is still developing. This is, of course, a small price to pay for the chance to venture off the well-beaten tourist path.
You will have some very early mornings to make the most of our days, Bring your alarm clock, and be prepared to catch up on sleep on the bus.
The accommodation at Wae Rebo is basic village accommodation. Your group may join with other guests sleeping on floor mats inside the hut. There are shared cold water bucket showers available for your overnight stay here.
There is an included snorkelling activity on this trip and you will need to be a confident swimmer to participate. Those who don't wish to snorkel can spend time on the boat or beach.
There are some included treks so good fitness and suitable footwear is required. See the itinerary for more detail.

Flores is a little untouched peice of paradise waiting to be explored. The people and the experiences I had on this Indonesian Island reminded me why I travel.

Amazing trip for the physically active . Experience the culture, and variety of nature spaces from volcanic cones to forests, rice fields, tropical beaches, fish and corals. Need to be comfortable with winding narrow roads.
