2. A single supplement is available on this trip and is applicable for all nights with the exception of the overnight train.
3. Using mud pack therapy the Archaeological Survey of India is planning to clean the four small canopies around the main dome of the Taj Mahal from the start of April 2018. This will be followed by the cleaning of the main dome but that could take some time as ASI is yet to calculate its load bearing capacity. The ASI’s science branch officials have stated that cleaning the four canopies will take approximately 2 months while main dome cleaning will be completed in phases. We will continue to update as information becomes available.

I was pleasantly surprised and extremely happy with my 15 day journey from New Delhi, India to Katmandu in Nepal with Intrepid Travel. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing and learning the history, architecture, culture and local every day life of India/Nepal and it's people. For me, it was challenging at times in the heat, but there were still enough comforts available ( hotels, food, guidance from our leader) to allow you time to reset and appreciate all you had experienced and seen in each day. I really enjoyed the luxury (lavish at times) and the semi-basic accommodations. Contrasts are always challenging but i like to step outside my comfort zone a little here and there. The relaxing train journeys were a highlight and combined with the roughness of the roadways also made for contrasting unforgettable transportation experiences. I could relax in the professional guidance of our tour leader and that made all the difference. His local knowledge in India's culture, religions, transport, shopping and health tips were invaluable. I would travel with Intrepid Travel again.
