Itinerary

Welcome to Buenos Aires!

On arrival, you are met at the airport and transferred from Ezeiza International Airport to your hotel.

Have some time to check in and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Buenos Aires is a city that combines European style with Latin American spirit. After breakfast head out to visit some of the most traditional and picturesque parts of the capital on a guided tour. We will stop off at San Telmo, La Boca and Puerto Madero, sampling some Argentinian dishes and a glass of Malbec at a local restaurant along the way.

Return to the hotel in the afternoon, where you will have some free time.

In the evening, we will go to a tango dinner show. International cuisine, regional delicacies and a wide selection of Argentine wines will be on offer as you sit back and enjoy the entertainment.

After breakfast head out on another half-day guided cultural tour of Buenos Aires, where we'll spend time admiring the Parisian-style architecture, visiting Plaza San Martin and strolling through the Palermo Rose Garden.

Our tour ends at Costanera Norte, the north bank of the river, where if the weather’s good we’ll be able to see the Uruguayan coast and enjoy a spot of lunch.

You'll then have the rest of the afternoon and evening to spend at your leisure.

Escape the city today and travel to the Pampean region where you'll learn all about the gaucho life. On arrival, you can look forward to trying some traditional empanadas accompanied by juice or a glass of Argentinian wine. You'll then be able to ride horses or take a colonial carriage ride. 

At lunchtime, we'll sit down to a typical ranch barbecue and a variety of freshly prepared salads. As you eat you'll also enjoy a folkloric show, showcasing some of the regions finest dance styles. 

During the afternoon you'll see spectacular demonstrations including ring races and troop rodes. To finish off we'll tuck into a meal of pies and mate, before making our way back to Buenos Aires.

    After breakfast, we will transfer from the hotel to Jorge Newbery Airport (AEP) for our flight to Bariloche.

    On arrival into Bariloche, we will board our transfer and later check-in to the hotel.

    San Carlos de Bariloche is a picturesque city set in the foothills of the Andes and bordered by the Nahuel Huapi National Park and lake, the city is also an important centre for scientific research. Enjoy some free time to relax or explore this gorgeous city. Later on, there is the option to go for dinner at the beautiful Cerveceria Patagonia.

    After breakfast, we will depart from Bariloche and head northwards along the National Route 237. This winding road offers some spectacular views of the natural scenery.

    Travel past Manzano Port and Villa La Angostura, before joining the Seven Lakes Road or the Camino de los Siete Lagos.

    We will stop in San Martín de los Andes on the shores of Lácar Lake for some lunch and there is the option to take a boat out on the lake from the port or stretch your legs on a short walk.

    Continue on to Bariloche where we will spend the night.

    After breakfast, we will visit the Nahuel Huapi National Park, one of the most scenic spots in Bariloche. The national park offers stunning vistas of Lake Nahuel Huapi, Mount Tronador and Victoria Island. Head to the top of Campanario Hill for the best views!

    Spend a free day exploring Bariloche. Choose from a number of different optional activities such as a full-day trip kayaking or rafting.

    ECLIPSE DAY!

    Today is the day we've all been looking forward to. We will take a transfer to our private viewing site in Piedra del Aguila to enjoy the eclipse. Here we will provide refreshments and a boxed lunch, chairs and viewing glasses as well as some guidance from our expert Dr John Mason.

    After the Eclipse we will return to Bariloche for the evening.

      After breakfast take a private transfer to Puerto Pañuelo (boarding fee not included, approx. 3 USD per person) on the banks of the Nahuel Huapi Lake, marvelling at the quaint Swiss-style architecture along the way. 

      Once we arrive at Puerto Pañuelo, we will board the Gran Victoria catamaran to Puerto Blest. Whilst travelling across the beautiful Nahuel Huapi Lake, you'll observe the greatness of the landscape and learn more about the fascinating history of this place. 

      On arrival at Puerto Blest, we will travel by bus to Puerto Frias, where we will have to carry out border checks. We then continue by bus to Peulla with beautiful views of the Cordillera de Los Andes. Tonight we will stay at an ecological villa, a paradise for nature lovers.

      Today we'll discover the charming lakeside destination of Frutillar, where you can see the influence of the German settlers in the town's architecture. 

      On our tour, we will take a rural road used by the local farmers, giving us a window into the agricultural nature of the region. You will also unearth another reason to fall in love with Frutillar – the Teatro del Lago.

      Enjoy a visit to the German Colonial Museum of Frutillar, before sitting down to lunch in a local Chilean restaurant.

       

      After breakfast take a transfer to the airport for your flight to Santiago. Spend the rest of your day exploring Chile's bustling capital city.
