This trip aims to give you an exciting, diverse and well-rounded experience of a country’s cuisine. While we endeavour to cater for specific dietary requirements, some meals and food activities are set in advance and may be difficult to adjust. If you have dietary requirements, simply contact your agent at the time of booking for further information on how this may impact on your ability to take part in included activities and meals. Come with an open mind and open mouth, and you won’t be disappointed!
Greek summers can get quite hot, so bring a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen if you're here during the warmer months.
While we start and finish our trip in Athens, there is no time for sight-seeing in this city once the trip has commenced. If you wish to explore Athens' wealth of historic sites, such as the Acropolis, the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Tomb of the Unknown Solider, we recommend that you extend your stay here either before or after your trip.

This is fantastic trip with the right balance of food, relaxation and history off the traditional tourist route. Intrepid do a great job of allowing you to experience things that you can’t do in a big group, like the home cooking classes and local experiences. Greek food is delicious, so much variety and vegetarians are well accommodated for. Our leader Sylvia was professional, organised and generous with sharing her knowledge, and our Greece experience was richer for this. Definitely add a few days in Athens at either the start or end of the tour as there is so much to see and do there.

If you are interested in greek food, some culture, friendly locals and beautiful landscape, that trip is right for you. I suggest arriving in Athens three or four days earlier, because the town has so much to offer. And it's somehow an introduction for the trip.
