I am disappointed at the accommodation changes for an Original trip and given the same as the Basic trip people knowing they paid less , not acceptable.

Not only was Tasmania a beautiful destination that blew me away, our tour guide, Trent, was friendly, approachable, professional and had a great sense of humour. This holiday is without a doubt the best that I'd taken in Australia, and I would love to go back to Tassie again. Fantastic tour and brilliant guide. Highly recommend this tour.

This trip is short and sweet, but is perfect for what we wanted to see around Uluru. The right combination of cultural activity and seeing the sights.

This trip is a great way to get a good ‘taste’ of Tasmania. We did lots of short walks to experience the local scenery. Let downs for us were the group size (22), that it was a combined basic and original group, and that we did not have an introduction group meeting the first evening. That being said the tour leader and our group were excellent and we’d recommend it.

Uluru Adventure ex Yulara (Original), February 2018
Kevin Boon
This was a great guided tour in an amazing, unforgettable place. We had some wonderful walks including around Uluru at sunrise and the Mala walk with a local indigenous guide, who told us some of the stories of the rock, and explained about the native plants and animals. The camp facilities and tents were very comfortable and clean and the food was excellent. The only negative was the size of the group. With 28 people it felt like a coach tour at times, rather than the group experience we have enjoyed on other Intepid trips.

Perfect way to travel for us. A wonderful leader, great variety of locations and things to do. Good walks and a very nice, mixed group. Cannot wait to go on another trip. Thank you Trent for showing us Tasmania, a brilliant tour.

In the six days of the trip we covered a lot of Tasmania. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and made it an interesting trip. We did lots of walks which were great. However we did not get a suitable introduction to our fellow travellers. We were a mix of original and basic customers which is not really acceptable. Overall a great holiday.

Taste of Tasmania is perfect for people who need a short getaway and want to be surrounded by nature’s beauty. Loved every minute bush walking, walking through rainforest and being outdoors. It really does jam pack Tasmania into 6days and you get a great sense of what you’d like to see again, or further explore on your own. Also great for solo travelers

Overall this trip would have been excellent if not for the accommodation arrangement which had been changed to poorer standard accommodation in one form or another compared to the trip notes for not 1 night but 3 nights out of 5! Obviously corners been cut and tour felt overpriced!

Awesome trip with great scenery to explore. Karijini was spectacular. Lots of hours on the bus, but totally worth it. We were affected by weather (cyclone - mid January), but guide did a great job of fitting in the 'must see' and kept us well informed. Highly recommend.

My husband and I paid for the Uluru Original package over the Basix package because on the website, it states "feel like you're in your own bed, but under the stars of the Red Centre. Proper beds, linen, electricity, and cooling fans provide that extra bit of comfort while you camp." On night number 2, at Kings Canyon campground, we did not receive electricity (a lamp) or a fan. We asked for it and they said "we don't have it here". Our bus broke down on day 3 prior to going home and we went back into our tent and saw that lamps and fans were set up for the next nights guests already. My husband and I, in addition to other members of our group were frustrated. That alone we would never recommend Intrepid to anyone.

Saw the most incredible things on this trip - really felt we got to experience Australia in a way that not many people get to see. Our guide was incredible, a source of so much information, fun, and everything organised to perfection. Would highly recommend to anyone who likes an adventure and wants to experience outback Australia! Highlights of the trip were sunrise at Uluru and camping in 'swags' under the stars. The scenery on the hikes was breathtaking, and the towns we visited along the way like another world. Couldn't recommend it higher.

I loved my trip with Intrepid to Tasmania. The tour size was perfect (14 people). Everything was organized for us and we didn't need to think about a thing! I loved that! The guide was just perfect, a real professional who knew what he was doing and talking about!

Breakfast under the stars, the sunrise walk around Uluru followed by a walk with an indigenous guide was one of the highlights. The other was the Kings Canyon walk. The tour leader and camp hosts worked hard to deliver this memorable experience.

Great trip for hiking! Definitely eat breakfast for those morning hikes. You don't need as much "stuff" as you think, except water. I found having my 2 Liter Camelbak day pack really useful for this trip and it cut down the cost of purchasing water, so that I could buy an electrolyte drink instead, which was really necessary after hiking in the heat at the end of the day. Also bring a swim suit!
