Our Discover Egypt & Jordan trips score an average of 4.63 out of 5 based on 8 reviews in the last year.
Discover Egypt & Jordan is a wonderful trip. You should do both countries if you can even though it is comprised of two separate Intrepid trips with two separate guides. Visiting Egypt is surreal with all its rich history, it is chaotic, busy, yet welcoming. There are limited covered meals and one can eat cheaply. Don't pass on Abu Simbal. I Ubered everywhere prior to the trip. Jordan is civilized and more expensive. Yet one can eat for $10-15/meal. Glamping in Wadi Rum, and exploring Petra were both memorable. There is lots of walking in both countries. Be mindful of the weather, and the difficulty rating when booking. So you can keep up with the rest of the group. Just bring a carry on, you can have your clothes washed . I love traveling with Intrepid.

Overall a wonderful and varied itinerary with a good mix of activities. Virtually no stress as our guides looked after all the travel, transit, accommodation and eating details. Making all these arrangements....for Middle East travel would have been challenging....and stressful. Our two groups...for Egypt and Jordan were quite different....but both were good, and it was great to have interesting and friendly people with whom to share the days. One note.....Jordan is expensive. We knew it would be, relative to Egypt, but found we were spending $30 to $40 CAD each for our group dinners. A very busy schedule.....and a fascinating trip.
