This trip involves some long travel days, including an overnight bus. This can be tiresome but offers a real sense of adventure. The buses are well equipped with comfortable reclining seats and on-board toilets. Snacks are provided but we recommend you also bring your own food in case you get hungry.
While at the estancia in Uruguay, you can choose to participate in the day-to day-activities of the farm as much or as little as you like. If you do choose to get involved, prepare for some early morning starts and to get your hands dirty when working directly with animals. The accommodation is multi-share and meals are served family style. Please inform your booking agent if you have any dietary requirements.
This trip starts with an Orientation Walk at 1 pm. If you are unable to find a suitable flight it is possible to book additional nights at the joining accommodation.
A Single Supplement to have your own room is available on this trip however excludes nights 4, 5 & 6 (Estancia stay) and 7 & 10 (Overnight bus) where you will be in shared accommodation.
The Argentine government charges Canadian citizens a reciprocity tax. This tax must be paid online prior to travel and a receipt for this payment must be produced at every border crossing into Argentina.
In 2018 the trip code and itinerary will change. Please see GGBDC on website.

This was the first time I have ever been on an organised tour and it was incredible! Loved every minute of it and as far as I'm concerned this is definitely the best way to travel. The whole trip was perfect from start to finish with the freedom of travelling alone but with the safety of travellIng as part of a group without any hassle or worries! I will 100% travel with intrepid again. The guide was excellent, really helpful and enthusiastic with lots of local knowledge so not only do you get the opportunity to visit these amazing places, you also learn a lot of things along the way!

Our two Intrepid tours ( Best of Ecuador and Peru, and BA to Rio Unplugged) gave us a great introduction to South America and has whet our appetite for more! They were well organised and covered all the highlights. As travellers in our 50s, we enjoyed the mix of ages and personalities of other travellers, and found all the tour leaders to be organised, professional and very personable. It was great to plan some time in between to have a break between tours and 'hang out' as a couple for longer in La Paz, BA and Rio. Highly recommend Intrepid!
