By visiting ACE (Animal Care in Egypt), you'll be supporting an excellent cause dedicated to the welfare of camels, donkeys and other working animals
Travelling on a felucca is awesome, but it's not for everyone. You will be sharing a sleeping area with your fellow group members for the night and a shared bathroom facility. You'll sleep outside under the stars on a simple mattress, if you feel the cold you should consider bringing a sleeping bag.
The walkways around the ruins can be uneven, dusty and rocky, so be sure to bring comfortable walking shoes. At large sites such as Petra, you can also expect to be walking in the elements for most of the day, so sun adequate sun protection is essential.
Some hotels in Egypt may not have lifts. You may need to climb stairs with your luggage to reach your hotel room for the night.
Temperatures in the Egypt can be extreme, ranging from very hot to very cold, depending on the season (it can even snow in some places!). Layers will come in handy for sun protection as well as warmth.

This trip is a wonderful mix of sightseeing, history, and culture, with a little bit of relaxation time thrown in. The sights you see are amazing as expected, Abu Simbel a particular highlight (an optional you should definitely take!) and the culture you experience is just as magnificent. If you can afford - visit Sety I tomb in the Valley of the Kings. Well worth it! Travelling on the Felucca was a wonderful way to spend the day relaxing and getting to know the crew. Cairo can be overwhelming when you arrive but don't let it put you off! Would recommend this wonderful trip.

If you are coming from Australia, don't underestimate winter in Egypt. Day can be mild, but morning and evening can be very cold. Make sure you have few layers of clothing that you can put on/take off.
