This was my first trip with Intrepid and my first solo trip. I came away wondering why it has taken me so long to try this before! The trip took away the stress of planning whilst giving experiences that makes you feel connected to the culture and that you are treading off the trodden path. I liked the mix of inland and cities with beaches and islands- this made me feel like I had a real taste of the various places to go. The Thai people were very friendly and I loved my time there. Above all, it was great to mix with a group of like minded individuals from all over the globe- that really made the trip for me.

If its your first time solo....dont worry! I was petrified but i stayed in one piece. Your well look after. Days are well planned and theres free time to explore yourself too. Always take a metered taxi. Scorpions taste fab. Pad thai is now my favourite meal....and do try mango and sticky rice. I felt so safe over there. Be prepared for how many tourists are in maya bay where the beach was filmed. Not really paradise...but some of the other islands were amazing.
