It was such a brilliant tour overall, the organisation, the accommodation, the transportation and all the activities that were included on this tour were exemplary. Our tour guide Ali Jei did such a fantastic job of taking care of us and making us feel safe. He advice and knowledge was fantastic. If you are nervous about travelling to South America for the first time, this tour is a great way of seeing a lot of the country in a short period and always feeling safe. A few tips - English is not spoken much at all so its advisable that you take a phrase book with you - Altitude sickness is real! I had to learn the hard way, so make sure you bring medication with you and read up on the symptoms beforehand, take it easy if you do get it - Pack a variety of clothing, warm and summer clothes, the weather is very unpredictable and there are very warm days and very cold nights/evenings - Drink as much water as you can, it will help a lot with the altitude sickness and adjusting to the weather if you are coming from a cold climate, perhaps bring some electrolytes with you to add to your water - If you are someone like me with dietary requirements (vegan) take snacks with you, Cusco and Lima actually have quite a few vegan/veggie restaurants - There are now showers or warm waters at the homestay so be prepared for this - Take toilet roll with you - there are a few places were there was none, including the homestay

If you would like to see Peru in a short period of time, this is the ideal trip. It covers a lot and it can be quite tiring, but it was all worth it. The tour guide is very knowledgeable and do a great job of taking care of the people on the tour. I was quite nervous about travelling to South America for the first time and this tour is great if you are in a similar situation. Cannot recommend highly enough.
