This was a culturally fascinating and rich trip to a quite different area of China. Some of the highlights for me were the animal market in Kashgar, camel riding across the sandhills in Dunhuang, saffron tea and bagels at the 100 year old tea house in Kashgar, the Buddhist caves at Mogao and the great food!! I would recommend that people do this trip sooner rather than later as huge development is happening in western China and it is changing rapidly.

The Silk Road is a fascinating and underrated part of our world. The trip included so much diversity of cultures. The food was excellent. The people extremely friendly. It was a varied and stimulating trip that I highly recommend to those with an adventurous spirit.
