Despite travelling just a couple of weeks after Mexico's tragic earthquake this was an amazing journey. I would definitely recommend staying an extra couple of nights in Mexico City to check out the numerous museums, galleries and eateries to begin, and staying a few more days at the end in Playa to compute all that you have seen and done, plus check out the beautiful snorkelling sites on your doorstep. There is an overwhelming amount of fascinating history in Mexico to learn about and the archaeological sites are simply incredible. Damaris our guide was incredible and had such a passion for her country. Good pace of trip also.
