Travel to Cambodia and encounter the cultural and architectural riches of this ancient land
From the majestic temples of Angkor to the gorgeous colonial-era architecture of Battambang and the devastating Khmer Rouge reign of the 1970s, Cambodia is a country that emanates history at every turn. Jungle vines crawl over Angkor Wat’s weathered walls, bamboo trains trundle along railway lines and villagers work their land in much the same way they have for generations. This remarkable small group adventure will get you off the tourist trail, away from the crowds, and into the heart and soul of this inspiring destination.
See the very best that Cambodia has to offer in just over a week as you traverse the country with a small group of up to 11 new friends.
This is a Comfort style trip, which means slightly higher standard hotels and a few more inclusions and meals than on most Original style itineraries.
Kick things off with dinner at Friends the Restaurant in Phnom Penh and combine an excellent local cause with a memorable dining experience.

The stories and history shared at the Killing Fields and S21 are confronting and many travellers will find them upsetting. This is an important part of Cambodia’s recent history that we feel is important for travellers to know. If you would prefer not to join these activities your leader can recommend some optional alternatives. Some further information on visiting the Killing Fields can be found here: https://www.intrepidtravel.com/adventures/importance-visiting-cambodia-k...
There are some long travel days on rough and bumpy roads with delays due to weather and traffic often unavoidable. Plenty of patience with the pace will go a long way.

the INTREPID team have been very helpful and resourceful to find the trip that fits my interests. Communication was very easy, and the team incorporated changes and requests as we approached the trip dates. The trip itself, the local guide and the overall experience have been satisfactory and ticked all the boxes when it came to value for money, while respecting local culture and habits. I recommend Intrepid for my friends and colleagues, especially if you do not have time to plan for a long trips and multi-city tours.

I loved traveling with Intrepid! Our amazing tour leader was so passionate and had wonderful (and very sad) stories and amazing histories to share. It is so very rare that you leave a place feeling like it has honestly become a part of you, I absolutely loved Cambodia!
