I am an experienced traveler that often prefers planning my own trips but from time to time I seek out the expertise of a company such as Intrepid for ease of planning. I returned to Intrepid for this trip because I have had such fond memories of fellow Intrepid travelers as well as amazing Intrepid guides! Guillermo was awesome, I never once worried about my safety and he was always available to help plan, expedite, etc. I believe he truly loves his job and enjoys his groups and these sentiments are contagious. I also can’t say enough about our local guides who were so great at sharing their cities with us. I especially want to mention Juliana from our Rio De Janiero tour who was absolutely amazing! I understand I will not be staying in five star resorts but The Dazzler in BA isn’t even worthy of one star. My other recommendation is to up the ante in the booking customer service department . Rudeness should not be tolerated and a more timely reply to emails etc would be more apt to keep me an Itrepid customer.

Excellent introduction to feel the pulse of South America from the sensuality of tango in a Buenos Aires club, to the frenetic energy of samba and street parties in Rio.
