01. Best of Morocco
Travel from the snow-capped Atlas Mountains to the endless sands of the Sahara, and from the medieval old town of Fes to the vibrant spice markets of Marrakech. On this 15-day adventure, you'll have the unique opportunity spend a night in a traditional Berber homestay to better understand the culture and tradition of an indigenous population who have stood the test of time.
'When I get to lead this tour I like to organize two special meals. One barbeque in the Atlas Mountains with lamb chops and meatballs and another with fresh fish from a local market. Customers really love those meals and it helps the group get in touch with the real Morocco.' - Abderrahim Oukioud, Local Leader
02. Hola Cuba
Cuba is still illegal for Americans to travel to, unless you are traveling on a legal people-to-people certified trip. That's where our 10-day Hola Cuba tour comes in. Be one of the first to experience this faded Caribbean gem – a cobblestoned communist isle where the rum is plentiful, the smiles infectious and the dancing encouraged.
The trip was well-organized and covered a lot of information/sights in a short amount of time. I loved Cuba and learned a lot about the country and the people. Definitely pack light - there are stairs and uneven roads to navigate with luggage, so consider a backpack instead of a rolling bag. And don't forget the bug spray. I liked the food but I understood going in that Cuban food is not spicy. If you are expecting Tex Mex kind of spice, you won't get it in Cuba - bring your own hot sauce. There are a couple of days where you spend a considerable amount of time on the bus so bring your eReader, headphones, etc. Or watch the documentaries on Cuba that your guide will play. When exchanging money, ask for small bills. Anything over a 50 CUC and you'll have trouble breaking it. Bring toilet paper/wipes and hand sanitizer for the public bathrooms.

06. Everest Base Camp
First conquered by Tenzing Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary in 1953, Everest has traditionally been the ultimate goal for mountaineers. Flying in to Lukla, explore the mountains and valleys around the towering peak, rest in Nepalese teahouses, learn about the traditions and cultures of the famous Sherpa and spend time in exotic Kathmandu.
'The one item people always forget to pack when joining a trek to Base Camp is extra underwear. We don't have washing machines along the trek and sometimes the water is frozen so you can't do your laundry along the way.' - Dinesh K.C, Local Leader
Everest Base Camp, May 2018
The Everest Base Camp Trek is a fantastic once in a lifetime experience. You need to both physically and mentally prepare yourself for the journey but it's definitely worth it! The views are spectacular, guides and porters are great, and you also get to learn a bit about Nepalese culture on the way. The accommodation is basic and the food gets a bit repetitive in the tea houses, but if you hire a decent sleeping bag (and buy a liner) and take some extra snacks with you you'll be fine! Also make sure you have a good buffer at the end of the trip - flight cancellations to/from Lukla are common due to weather (clouds) and you may need to extend your stay by several days.
