2019: Cambodian New Year - April 7th Departure.
Cambodian New Year or Choul Chnam Thmey in the Khmer language, is the name of the Cambodian holiday that celebrates the traditional Lunar New Year. The holiday lasts for three days beginning on New Year's Day and finishes at the end of the harvesting season, when farmers enjoy the fruits of their labour before the rainy season begins. In 2019 this celebration falls on 14th-15th,16th April. So if you are travelling on the 7th April departure please note that once you are in Cambodia, it will be likely that Phnom Penh will be quiet due to most residents travelling to the country to be with family. However Siem Reap province will be very crowded. During this period some restaurants will be closed. We anticipate all included activities will continue as planned.
Our Vietnam and Cambodia Family Holiday trips score an average of 4.81 out of 5 based on 16 reviews in the last year.
Be prepared for extremely hot weather, take lots of sunblock and light weight clothing. An umbrella is useful as rain coats make you even stickier. The tours are well planned, accommodation is spacious and near activities. You get varied experiences. Our group was very small. Our children were well catered for.
