See Vietnam and Cambodia through an exciting mix of transport, including motorbike, basket boat, dragon boat, junk boat, bus and train
This tour involves 2 nights in homestays and 1 night in a local guesthouse. Conditions can be basic, with shared bathrooms, cold showers, mixed gender dormitory style rooms. Mosquito nets and linen are provided. This is a great way to get to really know the destination.
One night of this trip is spent on overnight sleeper trains with journeys of up to 12 hours. Although the conditions are basic and you'll be sharing a compartment with four to six people, this is the best way to maximise your time spent at various destinations.
This trip involves a 10km trek in the hills of Da Bac, as well as included city walking tours. While being on your feet can be a bit tiring, this is the best way to truly get under the skin of a place.
This trip does involve some long travel days by bus, so be prepared for some driving as you move through three countries. This is, of course, a great chance to take in all the varied scenery and snapshots of rural life.
The weather in Vietnam and Cambodia can be hot and sticky, particularly during the monsoon seasons, so ensure that you pack accordingly. Always carry plenty of water.
