Great trip - slower pace with lots of free time to relax and explore. Sukhothai and the home stay were highlights (the food at the home stay is incredible), and the cooking class was informative and fun. Tips: when in Chiang Mai, visit the BMP elephant care sanctuary to feed and bathe the elephants, it was such a wonderful privilege to be able to interact with these beautiful, gentle giants; most people took wheeled suitcases on this trip which worked out fine, no need to take a back pack; I used water purification tablets which were easy and reduced the amount of plastic; consider the single supplement if you are travelling alone.
