Freycinet National Park is located on the east coast of Tasmania, an island state off the south coast of mainland Australia. To get there you can fly to Hobart or Launceston or take the ferry to Devonport, and then transfer to Freycinet by car or bus.
If you’re not travelling as part of a tour, you’ll need to buy a park pass from Tasmania Parks & Wildlife Services. A daily pass costs $44.75 per vehicle (carrying up to 8 people) or $22.35 per person. You can also purchase a holiday pass for $89.50 (valid for up to two months) or $44.75 per person. A holiday pass is better if you plan to visit multiple national parks in Tasmania.
