I just returned from the 9 day Classic Peru trip. I’m still on a high...and not because of the altitude! It was my first group tour and it turned out to be so much more than I hoped. The Itinerary was perfect, enough time to visit historical sights and local culture, enjoy some free time, sample wonderful cuisine, experience different modes of transportation and meet new friends in our small group from other parts of the world. Our Leader Norma was amazing and made our entire trip an experience to remember. Machu Picchu was my dream trip, but there was so much more! The homestay was incredible, I won’t even forget it all. I was so worried in advance about altitude sickness, it wasn’t too bad at all. Just take it easy the first day in Cusco, walk slowly, don’t drink alcohol and stay hydrated, drink the coca tea and relax. I can’t wait to book my next trip with Intrepid.

Intrepid made traveling easy. It was extremely reasonably priced for everything that was included. Not having to worry about transportation between cities was the biggest draw for me. Without intrepid, I would not have been able to see all of the areas of Peru that I wanted to. Great company!
