The tropical climate of Central America means conditions can be really hot and humid. Always carry plenty of water with you and stay hydrated, especially on walking tours.
As this trip covers destinations across three countries, you'll need to make several border crossings. While these are usually straightforward, please prepare to be patient.
While your leaders on this trip will bridge any language gaps you have along the way, you'll find meeting locals easier the more Spanish words you know. Attempting to communicate in Spanish is a great way of showing you care.
This trip involves some long days of travel, some of it by local transport. This may be a little more rustic than you are used to, but the it's worth it to encounter local life in a real way.

A great trip that shows you a variety of different places with different atmospheres, in a short space of time. At first I was quite apprehensive that there were only 3 of us the group (and I was the eldest by a long way!), but it turned out to be the best trip I've been on. Boris is a great tour leader who is friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable and was keen for all of us to enjoy our trip. Being in a small group meant we got to know each other well and we developed good friendships. The trip was well paced and we got to see and stay in different environments. It's hard to choose a favourite place as I enjoyed everywhere; but all the stops in Guatemala were especially good. If you are thinking of adding an extra couple of days on to the beginning or end of your trip, I'd recommend staying in Antigua rather than Playa, unless you like package beach holidays!

Takes in many of the highlights of 3 amazing countries! It’s perfect for solo travellers and those a little older than us (we’re a couple in our mid 20s). We realised that we’d have preferred to organise the trip ourselves and have greater freedom to do what we wanted, but everyone else in our group seemed to really enjoy the group experience :)
