Find out what makes the magical country of Myanmar unique at this evening with documentary-maker Alex Bescoby.
What to expect
Join us to hear journalist and documentary-maker Alex Bescoby share stories from his adventures in Myanmar. Alex's work has taken him to some of the less-travelled corners of the world – the back-country of Sierra Leone, the remote Peruvian Andes and insurgent-ridden southern-Philippines. He learned to understand these very different places through studying their histories and forming close bonds with the people who live there.
His most recent project, and labour of love, has involved filming over several years in far-flung corners of Myanmar. His documentary, Burma’s Lost Royals, is the winner of the prestigious 2016 Whicker's World Foundation Funding Award and will hit our TV screens later this year.
