Competition Period |
The Competition commences at 12:01am AEST on 8 June 2023 and ends at 9 July on 11:59pm AEST (Competition Period). No entry details submitted after this time will be valid.  |
Entry Eligibility |
The competition entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or older and excludes employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary company and their immediate families, anyone connected professionally with the prize draw, or any person where entering this competition breaches any law or regulation of the jurisdiction in which they are resident. In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. Only one entry per person will be available (Eligible Entrant). |

To enter, individuals must complete the following entry mechanics during the Competition Period: Â
Individuals may also opt-in to receive the Intrepid Travel & WWF-Australia e-newsletters.   Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid. Entries automatically generated by computer, completed by third parties in bulk, or that have been altered, reconstructed or tampered with will be rejected. Entrants may only enter the competition once per email address. |
Prize |
The prize winner will receive:Â Â Â
 (together, the Prize). Not included in the Prize: travel insurance, visa costs, any additional meals, drinks, activities, or accommodation not included in the itinerary. All travel is subject to the Intrepid Booking Conditions which can be found at: https://www.intrepidtravel.com/booking-intrepid/booking-conditions. The winner will be required to agree to the current Booking Conditions at the time of booking including any applicable policies or waivers that are in place at the time. Travel is subject to Special Conditions – Antarctica (Ocean Endeavour) which can be found at: https://www.intrepidtravel.com/au/special-conditions#Antarctic%20Voyages%20(Ocean%20Endeavour). The winner will be required to agree to the current Special Conditions at the time of booking. The Prize is strictly non-transferable to another person, departure, trip or redeemable for cash. If the winner cannot depart on the 09 March 2024 trip their Prize will be forfeited.  The Prize must be fully booked/redeemed by 31 October 2023. The Prize is subject to availability at time of booking. The Promoter reserves the right to replace the Prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter's control makes it necessary to do so. The winner is responsible for ensuring that they have valid passports, and any required visas, vaccinations and travel documentation. Prize Draw Date |
The draw will take place at 12:00pm AEST on 11 July 20223 at [Level 7, 567 Collins Street, Melbourne, 3000] (Prize Draw Date).  The winner will be notified in writing by email submitted at the time of entry.  The Promoter will make reasonable efforts to identify and locate the Prize Winner. At the conclusion of 14 days, if no response is received by the Promoter, we will deem the prize as unclaimed and an unclaimed Prize draw will be held on Wednesday, 26 July 2023. The Prize Winner from the redraw will be notified by email and similarly given 14 days to claim the prize. If by 9 August 2023 the prize is still unclaimed, this prize will be forfeited. |
Collection and use of your personal information   |
Personal Information including the Eligible Entrant’s name, address, telephone number and email will be collected and used for the purpose of conducting this Competition. This may require disclosure to third parties, including the Promoter’s agents or third-party service providers, for the purpose of conducting the Competition.   Please see the Promoter’s privacy policy and collection notice for this Competition for more information about how we use your personal information specifically in relation to how we may share your personal information with WWF-Australia.  |

The Promoter and its affiliates reserve the right to amend or withdraw the prize draw and any of the prizes in the event of any unforeseen circumstances outside their reasonable control. Prizes are subject to availability. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute alternative prizes of equivalent or greater value.   Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the Prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. The purpose of the Collection Notice is to explain how we handle your personal information we receive about you when you enter the ‘Win a trip for 2 to Antarctica’ competition.
As we are a large international group, your completed competition entry form may be shared within the Intrepid Group Pty Limited (Intrepid Group) and any of our related entities worldwide. Specifically, we may share your completed competition entry form with World Wide Fund for Nature Australia (WWF-Australia).
Collection and disclosure of your personal information
We may collect, hold, use and share your completed registration form for the following purposes:
• to process your competition entry or determine eligibility;
• to contact you by phone or email to advise that you are the competition winner and for the management and delivery of the Prize;
• to liaise with WWF-Australia in relation to sharing your name, email, telephone number and/or address if you have opted in to the WWF-Australia enewsletter database.
• To liaise with WWF-Australia in relation to sharing the name, email, telephone number and/or address of the Prize Winner.
• we may also collect and/or use your information if we are required to cooperate with law enforcement authorities, if we are authorised to do so by law, or to comply with the law.
