Our purpose-built overland vehicles allow for excellent game viewing, equipped with large sliding windows. They have no air-conditioning, however, so they can get dusty and hot at times.
The going can be slow over the long distances and often bumpy roads. A little bit of patience will go a long way towards your enjoyment of this beautiful land!
This is a participatory camping trip, so it's important to embrace the team spirit and help with camp setup, food preparation and cleaning.
As the early bird catches the worm, the early camper sights the animals. There will be many early starts either to make use of the better safari time or to beat the morning traffic on long travel days.

First time travelling with Intrepid and I was very impressed. Nash, Dan and Cosmas were a great bunch of leaders. Very surprised by the tasty food. The trip was a perfect combination of scenery at the beginning and more animals toward the end.

Be ready to get involved, see amazing sunrises for the trouble of getting up so early and seeing nature at its best and most remarkable. Make the most of the long journeys by getting to know your fellow travellers. Be inspired by all the natural beauty and wonderful array of animals. I felt like I was on a National Geographic show many times. Yes, it can be tiring but there is so much reward when you do this trip. I just wish I booked the longer trip!
