Travel to Costa Rica and experience its incredible natural attractions
Even in a region well known for its natural diversity, Costa Rica is still a stand out. Thanks to a longstanding tradition of preserving its natural assets, much of the country’s verdant rainforest still stands, opportunities for nature-based adventures abound and the beaches on both coasts are in exceptional nick. As a result, the nation’s cultural riches can oft end up overlooked – but here too the country has much to offer. Costa Ricans are widely regarded as some of the world’s friendliest people and on this trip – in between exploring the country’s most famous national parks –you’ll get to know them while lending a hand on a rural farmstay and kicking back in the rustic beach town of Quepos.
Wander through the artisan stalls of San Jose’s Plaza de la Cultura

The fellow travelers and guide on my trip were very friendly and I enjoyed the experience. The guide, Sergio, was experienced, entertaining, and knowledgeable about our travels.

This is a trip that truly has something for everyone. I expected the hikes, beach days, wildlife spotting, volcanoes and eco-reputation that Costa Rica is famous for, but was pleasantly surprised by the interesting museums and cultural life, varied restaurants with music and dance, and the homestay during the national election gave us much to discuss on the rest of the trip. The group was varied, congenial, and came together like a family of friends and our leader inspired us all with his zest for new experiences.
