Look a little closer and you might just see your inner Monica coming out with all her attendant head-girl energy or find that self-professed introvert you claim to be not-so-subtly shedding their shy side during a sultry salsa class. Time to decide on the travel persona that best suits you and your crew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So now,\u00a0as\u00a0a fully grown adult human in this\u00a0small-group setting<\/a>, you are\u00a0thriving<\/em>.\u00a0Curiosity is your middle name \u2013 and the quickest way to scratch that itch is by asking questions (and lots of them).\u00a0You\u2019re\u00a0always first to\u00a0sit at the front of the truck, shoulder-to-shoulder with your leader, mining them for\u00a0insider\u00a0info\u00a0via\u00a0investigative-journalist-worthy\u00a0exchanges, as the rest of your group gets bumped to the back along\u00a0Nepal<\/a>\u2019s zigzagging mountain roads. Your core childhood memories\u00a0don’t\u00a0involve your parents’ faces, but the sight of a youthful (actually quite handsome) 70s-era Attenborough playfully tussling with\u00a0mountain gorillas in\u00a0Rwanda<\/a>. You think of the iconic naturalist as a benign grandfather of sorts (though obviously he\u00a0hasn\u2019t\u00a0a clue who you are) and, accordingly, your binoculars, long lenses\u00a0and booklet of native birds are\u00a0basically glued\u00a0to your hands at all times.\u00a0Wildlife trips<\/a>\u00a0are how you get your kicks, from glimpsing blue-footed boobies in\u00a0the Galapagos<\/a>\u00a0(blushing) to\u00a0spying\u00a0some of the 100 species of endemic lemurs on\u00a0Madagascar<\/a>.\u00a0They\u2019re\u00a0the world\u2019s oldest living primate,\u00a0don\u2019t you know<\/em>?\u00a0Cue dulcet Sir David voiceover.\u00a0So\u00a0calming.\u00a0So pure.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Type-A maniac who likes to be in control<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019re\u00a0a seasoned soloist,\u00a0who\u2019s\u00a0fiercely independent and has every single aspect of their home lives\u00a0locked down<\/em>.\u00a0High-flying job, keenly curated\u00a0apartment,\u00a0rigorous exercise schedule (including regular Iron Mans, naturally). Normally you\u00a0travel completely solo<\/a>, no compromises, no worries. But, annoyingly, sometimes<\/em> forced\u00a0to relinquish control (it hurts!) \u2013 because frankly the remote\u00a0Bolivian Altiplano<\/a>\u00a0is actually quite hard to get to and no fun by yourself.\u00a0Letting go isn’t in your DNA. But weirdly, after a few days of intense shoulder clenching, you discover it’s actually quite nice \u2013 liberating even \u2013 to hand someone else the reins.
