Intrepid announced a new Climate Active Plan in October 2025. This reshapes our approach to carbon, including a step away from the Science Based Targets initiative and adopting new climate targets. You can\u00a0view the new plan here<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, at the 2019 UN Climate Conference, COP25, we made a historic commitment. A commitment in partnership with 500+ fellow B Corps to reach net zero by 2030.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This important declaration will mean accelerating the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions \u2014 20 years ahead of the 2050 targets set in the Paris Agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a carbon neutral<\/a> <\/strong>business since 2010, and one committed to becoming the first climate-positive travel company in the world next year<\/a><\/strong>, we are so proud to have represented the travel industry at this conference. Our co-founder Darrell Wade attended virtually to represent our commitment to climate action, in a video presented to attendees. In this, he called on world leaders gathered at COP25 in Madrid to work collaboratively towards action on the climate crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are also proud to stand alongside the global community of B Corp certified businesses who made this commitment<\/a><\/strong> (companies that meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, public transparency and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose). B Corp businesses include Patagonia, Allbirds and The Body Shop \u2014 as well as Intrepid Travel, as of 2018 when we became the world’s largest certified travel B Corp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
