We get asked a lot what a group trip in Kakadu National Park<\/a> looks like. What do you see, what do you do, how many times do you get to swim in photogenic billabongs \u2013 that kind of thing. So we sent a film crew into the wilderness of Australia’s Top End to bring back a slice of life on an\u00a0Intrepid trip.<\/p>\n

Kakadu is one of our favourite spots in the country \u2013 all the red dust and red rocks of the Outback, but with an infinite number of idyllic watering holes, billabongs and plunge pools for when you need to cool off. It’s got rock art to rival anywhere else in the country, and a vast wetland and river system that plays host to a huge collection of wildlife. A lot of travellers head straight for Uluru<\/a> when they touch down in Australia, but if you’re after something a bit different, fly into Darwin and head south-east through Kakadu\u00a0on the way to Alice Springs. The destination is still the same, but the journey is way cooler.<\/p>\n
